System Overview
In recent years, with the improvement of the ecological environment and the increasing awareness of bird protection among the people, the number of birds has increased. This power system poses a serious safety hazard. In response to the existing bird hazard problem in the power system substations, our company has developed a laser bird deterrent system.
For birds, vision is the most sensitive sense, especially to green lasers with a wavelength of 520-532nm. Experiments conducted by ornithologists at home and abroad have proven that a "rod-shaped" green laser with a wavelength of 520-532nm simulates the conditions of biological visual reflection. When a green laser rod sweeps across, birds see it as a large green rod, achieving the effect of deterring birds.
The automatic laser bird deterrent can operate continuously, sweeping the entire substation area at dawn, dusk, or night. Over time, this affects the ecological environment on which birds in and around the substation depend for survival, habitat, and foraging, causing birds to develop a fear response and eventually stay away from the substation, fundamentally preventing and eliminating accidents caused by birds.
Substation personnel can remotely change the scanning speed of the laser beam at any time, keeping birds off guard and preventing them from adapting. Remote control, monitoring, and parameter changes can be achieved via computer through the internet or Ethernet.
Core Functions
The core of the laser bird deterrent lies in its ability to emit laser beams of specific wavelengths and intensities. These laser beams stimulate the birds' visual systems, causing discomfort or a sense of threat, thus driving them away. Laser bird deterrents typically use high-brightness laser beams with wavelengths in the visible light range (400-700nm). Such wavelengths can directly damage the birds' retinas, causing temporary blindness, effectively driving away birds. This is a technical feature of laser bird deterrents.
Environmentally Friendly and Harmless:
The laser bird deterrent does not use any chemical agents, causing no environmental pollution and no harm to birds.
Highly Efficient and Precise:
The laser beam can precisely irradiate birds, achieving a highly effective deterrent effect. By adjusting the scanning speed, angle, and power of the laser beam, it can adapt to different environments and bird characteristics.
Intelligent and Controllable:
Modern laser bird deterrents support remote control and intelligent bird recognition functions. For example, an AI laser bird deterrent can use components such as high-definition cameras, pan-tilt units, and laser emitters to achieve active bird detection and precise bird deterrence. When there are no birds nearby, the bird deterrent function is off; when birds approach, the camera immediately captures the birds and automatically directs the laser beam to drive them away.
24/7 Operation:
The laser bird deterrent has an outdoor protection level and can operate continuously 24/7 under extreme weather conditions such as thunderstorms, fog, snow, and typhoons.
Safe and Stable:
The laser beam emitted by the laser bird deterrent is harmless to human eyes and skin, but personnel should avoid direct eye contact with the laser beam. The device is made of special high-tech materials, achieving waterproof, lightning-proof, and radiation-proof effects, ensuring safe and stable operation.
Technical Highlights
Laser Bird Deterrent System Components
The core components of this product use original imported lasers. The best pure copper module is used for heat dissipation, effectively ensuring the heat dissipation of the core laser tube and extending its service life.
High-Precision Optical System Design: The optical lenses use high-precision imported lenses from the United States, resulting in low laser energy loss, good laser collimation performance, and uniform laser energy molecular distribution, ensuring the bird deterrent effect of the laser bird deterrent at a distance.
Coverage Range: The daytime bird deterrent range is 300 meters, and the nighttime range can reach over 1000 meters. The range is related to the intensity of sunlight; the stronger the sunlight, the shorter the range.
Remote Monitoring: Remote monitoring video is achieved through a front-end camera and network, allowing real-time viewing of the substation's internal conditions.
