YaYe Expressway Lhasa-Rizhao Airport Section Adds Intelligent Equipment: Vehicle Overheating Warning System and Multifunctional Camera Safeguard the Plateau Highway
Recently, the Ya'an to Yecheng National Expressway Lhasa to Rizhao Airport section project, from Chabala Service Area to Dazhuka section, has received a significant upgrade with the official launch of a vehicle overheating warning system and a multifunctional camera, strengthening the safety of this plateau highway.
The YaYe Expressway Lhasa-Rizhao Airport section is a crucial transportation artery connecting Lhasa and Rizhao, playing a significant role in regional economic development and improving people's livelihoods. The section has complex terrain and variable weather, posing many challenges to safe highway operations. The newly launched vehicle overheating warning system utilizes advanced infrared thermal imaging technology and intelligent algorithms to monitor the temperature of key parts such as tires and engines of passing vehicles in real-time. Once an abnormal temperature is detected, the system will quickly issue warnings to the driver and management department via audio-visual alarms and SMS, reminding drivers to take cooling measures and preventing vehicle fires and tire blowouts caused by overheating.
The multifunctional camera, also put into use, integrates multiple functions such as vehicle detection, license plate recognition, and traffic incident detection. During routine monitoring, it accurately captures traffic flow data and identifies violating vehicles; in the event of a traffic accident or unusual road conditions, it can immediately pinpoint the location, providing crucial information support for emergency response. The application of this equipment significantly improves the intelligent management level of the section, achieving comprehensive and all-weather precise perception of traffic conditions.
To ensure efficient system operation, the highway management department has established a complete emergency response mechanism. Upon receiving an overheating warning, staff will quickly contact the driver, guide them to stop safely, and provide necessary assistance; for traffic incidents reported by the multifunctional camera, the management department will quickly allocate resources and promptly handle them to ensure smooth traffic flow.
The implementation of the vehicle overheating warning system and the multifunctional camera represents a significant step in the smart transportation construction of the YaYe Expressway Lhasa-Rizhao Airport section. In the future, the management department will continue to monitor the equipment's operation, continuously optimize its functions, create a safer and more convenient travel environment for drivers and passengers on the plateau, and inject new impetus into the high-quality development of the YaYe Expressway.
