The Zhaolu Expressway has implemented a tunnel overheating warning system, further enhancing travel safety.
Recently, the Zhaokua to Luxi Expressway has received a significant safety upgrade with the official launch of its tunnel overheating warning system. This marks a crucial step forward in improving tunnel safety management on the Zhaolu Expressway, providing drivers and passengers with a safer and more reliable travel environment.
The Zhaokua to Luxi Expressway is a vital transportation link between Qujing City and Honghe Prefecture, playing a crucial role in regional economic development. The tunnel sections, due to their relatively enclosed nature, are particularly susceptible to serious incidents like fires if vehicle overheating occurs, posing a significant threat to life and property. Previously, reliance on traditional manual inspections resulted in delayed monitoring and limited coverage, failing to meet the growing demands of traffic safety.
The newly implemented tunnel overheating warning system utilizes advanced infrared thermal imaging technology and intelligent data analysis algorithms. The system can perform real-time, precise temperature monitoring of key vehicle components such as engines and tires within the tunnel. When the system detects a temperature exceeding a preset safety threshold, it immediately triggers an audible and visual alarm, simultaneously transmitting the warning information to the monitoring center. Center personnel can then promptly respond, such as using the tunnel's public address system to alert drivers and guide them to safely stop in designated areas for inspection and maintenance, effectively preventing accidents caused by vehicle overheating.
To ensure the stable operation of the tunnel overheating warning system, the Zhaolu Expressway management department has established a comprehensive maintenance and emergency response mechanism. This includes assigning specialized technicians to regularly inspect and maintain the system, ensuring its proper functioning, and developing detailed emergency plans outlining the responsibilities and workflows of each department in responding to overheating warnings to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency response.
