The key components of a night vision device include the objective lens, image intensifier tube, power supply, and eyepiece. The objective lens captures light and infrared energy, which is then converted into electrons within the intensifier tube. These electrons are amplified and converted back into visible light, forming a bright, green-tinted image recognizable to the human eye.

Modern night vision devices have evolved significantly, combining optical and digital technologies to improve performance. Digital night vision models use CMOS or CCD sensors instead of traditional image intensifier tubes. They can operate in both day and night conditions and often include video recording, zoom, and Wi-Fi functions for real-time monitoring and data sharing.
